We plan to develop a way to access the program offline this year, so I think that will eventually be available, but not upon release. In your case, you can continue to use your 2.0 program when you're offline and 3.0 when online.

MW 3.0 will be compatible on all computers, smartphones and tablets. Initially, MW 3.0 will require an Internet connection or some sort of data connection via phone or tablet. Users will always be able to access their account, if their subscription is not active, the program will simply be in limited mode. In no circumstance would we ever hold a user's data hostage if they chose not to keep their subscription active. First, if you can point me to the literature that you have read, I'd like to check it out in case our product is being represented. The above thread concerned me and I wrote the designers of MW to see if I could get some clarification.

I'm also a professional photographer who uses the Adobe CC suite and know well the functionality and how "your files are always your files" with Adobe. Personally, i see it as a suite of tools that could benefit most serious songwriters.I am a MasterWriter user and have been since version 1 was in the infancy stages.

If however, you just want to catalog your songs in an organized digital format, there may be cheaper alternatives, im not sure. I will say that masterwriter works for me as im the type of person that likes to develop 'methods' or routines, for certain things that i do often so i can try to streamline the secondary tasks and focus more time on the main objective. Since you mentioned you could use the structure. There may be others, but ts the only tool of its kind that 'ive' seen for the serious lyric/songwriter. My conclusion is: if you are a songwriter and want a tool like this to catalog music and have a suite of 'lyiric writing' tools, it is worth the cost. Although ive never had an instance where i need to use it as a proof of origin and hopefully never will, i can say it gives me a peace of while i write songs to compile to send to the copywrite office. These are the main things i get out of the software. I havent spent a ton of time with v2 yet but it is definitely a better interface/concept and word families is a very cool contribution to it.Third, songuard is a very conveniant concept for me. Secondly, it is a powerful all in one tool that i use often to find better words to say a phrase, and also see what my rhyming possibilities are. Its DEFINITLy better than my previous method of stacks of notepads and looseleaf scattered all over the place. If theres anything in particular youd like to know i can try to help, otherwise ill just give you a little info about why i like it and is useful for me.Most importantly, it is a great way to catalog my music. I presume you've seen the demo video on what it can do. I had masterwriter 1, and recently upgraded to 2. Hey andy, i find it to be useful software.
